Garden by the River Nemunas
While creating this garden the main purpose was to enhance its magnificient view of the river, create a visual link to the house and plan aesthetic, yet functional spaces on the sloping bank.
To visually shorten the long site it has been decided to split it into the rectangular, gradually declining terraces which would optically bring the river even closer and would accentuate the broad views.
To make the garden an integral part of the surrounding landscape, there have been used plants which would look natural in this environment: willow shrubs, various grasses, pines. While near the house there have been installed some flower borders with hardy perennials and floribunda roses "Iceberg".
Installed: 2013
