Garden for a Triangular Site
This triangular site joins a slightly rising natural slope on one side and has the view of the city below on the other.
The aim was to shelter the garden from the wind, to link it to the surrounding landscape without obstructing the views and to conceal the sharp site corners.
The garden structure has been created using a circular pattern. This helped to create lawn terraces rising towards the garden gate, conceal the akward shape of the site as well as to enhance the far horizon.
Along the southwestern part, where the strongest winds prevail, there has been installed a raised bed planted with pines and deciduous bushes.
At the far end of the garden, behind the planting, there has been planned a play area with a playhouse.
The garden was planted with pines, boxes, stephanandra, rhododendrons, heathers, thymes and etc.
