The front garden of a Bauhaus style house in the woods needed some remake. Though built in 2004, the house, with a recently renovated facade, looked crisp, elegant and timeless. The idea was to transform the space in such a way which would enhance the beauty of the architecture as well as the existing curvilinear concrete pond and make the front garden as welcoming as possible.
The project involved correction of the outlines of the driveway, installation of lush planting in front of the house, along the borders and around the pond. Planting included medium high deciduous trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses which would link the garden with the house, the paths and the surrounding landscape.
The front garden has become kind of a sanctuary where one can to full extent enjoy the greenery, the flowers, and the scents lingering on the air.
In 2020 the garden received the award initiated by the Lithuanian Association of Landscape Architects in the yearly competition „Trends", arranged by "Namas ir as" (House and Me) magazine.
