This already established garden , surrounded by pines, lacked a visual unity around the house and needed some adjustments to the planting areas.  The newly planned polygonal planting areas complimented  the polygonal house structure and helped to create a more welcoming atmosphere in the entrance area and in the backyard.  
For the new planting areas there have been used new and existing shaped yew shrubs of various sizes as well as perennials (geums, salvias, achilleas, astilbes, sanguisorba, thalictrum and etc.) and grasses.
